Larry Shover is the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Solutions Funds Group, a mutual fund providing investors with institutional grade exposure to alternative investments. Additionally, Larry serves as Senior Advisor to Efficient Capital Management, LLC, an institutional hedge fund which allocates to Commodity Trading Advisors (CTAs) in 125 various futures, and interbank FX. In addition, Larry serves as an independent representative to professional minor league baseball players.

From 1983 through 2008, Larry served as an options and futures trader along with an executive at the following Chicago, IL firms: Susquehanna Investment Group, The Rock Island Company, Lake Index Company and Chicago Research and Trading. Besides trading 14 various options and futures markets, Larry implemented new product launches and risk management operations. He trained and managed scores of traders and profitably traded commodities, currencies, and equities for many years, nine as President of Lake Index Company.

Larry has published two options books, the most recent, “Trading Options in Turbulent Markets” (Bloomberg/Wiley) 2013, was published in Mandarin by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Press in January, 2014.  He also writes a bi-weekly commodities column for FOX BUSINESS NEWS website.

Larry is a financial television contributor with 5 plus weekly appearances on:  FOX NEWS, FOX BUSINESS, SKY NEWS, and RFD-TV.  He is also quoted in the financial press and, in the last six months, has been quoted in: Business Week, LA Times, Norwegian Business Daily, NY Times, WSJ, and Washington Post.

Larry has recently been appointed to a three-year term on the Investment Oversight Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School – in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Economics and English Literature.
